We Are Here for Victorian Sport
In a constantly changing industry it is important to have someone you can trust to deliver up to date information and resources to help your organisation be successful in helping all Victorians to participation in sport and active recreation and enjoy the many benefits that sport can deliver.
Vicsport has been a part of a number of campaigns, with a focus being governance and inclusion is sport.
Child Safe Standards
In April 2012, the Victorian government initiated an inquiry into the handling of child abuse allegations within religious and other non-government organisations. The inquiry’s final report, Betrayal of Trust, made a number of recommendations that have been acted on by the Victorian Government. The creation of Child Safe Standards (the Standards) was one of the key recommendations.

Good Governance
The Good Governance Framework Research conducted by Vicsport revealed a scope of recommendations and potential strategies to improve governance practices and diversity on boards of SSAs. These recommendations and strategies recognise that individuals, organisations and the sport and active recreation sector together play an important role in creating change and achieving significant progress towards board diversity and good governance practices.

Are You on Board?
Vicsport has developed the ‘Are You on Board?’ (AYOB) campaign to support conversation and action around diversity and inclusion within Victorian sport. The campaign aims to raise awareness and assist State Sport Associations, Clubs, Leagues and Associations to spread the message about the benefits of diversity and inclusion to Victorian sport.
Board Bank
The Vicsport Board Bank is a place where members will be able to access board vacancies from across the Victorian Sports Industry.
