MPIO Training
Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) training is delivered across two parts consisting of an online course (Part 1) and a face-to-face (or virtual online) session (Part 2).
Part 1 must be completed first and both parts need to be completed to become a recognised MPIO.
Part 1
The online module is a free, self-paced course. You can enrol in the course via Sport Integrity Australia’s eLearning Platform.
Part 2
Sport and Recreation Victoria have engaged Vicsport to deliver a number of Part 2 MPIO courses. Run by a trained facilitiator, the next courses are scheduled for March and June 2025 (to be held online). If you are unable to attend, or there are currently no dates scheduled, please email Vicsport to express your interest for the next workshop (mpio@vicsport.com.au). You can also sign up to the MPIO Newsletter (below) to receive updates for upcoming MPIO training.
MPIO Support
MPIOs play an important role in sport. The MPIO is there to listen to issues raised by members before providing information about a
person’s rights, responsibilities and options to an individual making a complaint or raising a concern.
Providing the right information can sometimes be difficult when complicated matters arise. As an MPIO, if you need assistance to discuss how to manage a potential complaint, you can contact Vicsport for free and confidential support (mpio@vicsport.com.au or ph 9698 8100).
