Vicsport is pleased to announce the release of the updated Good Governance Framework & Tool Kit (2015).
This updated resource delivers practical information and templates for consideration by Boards, Chairs, CEO’s and other key figures responsible for the quality of corporate governance in sporting organisations. The Good Governance Framework & Toolkit has been developed by Vicsport to assist State Sport Associations (SSAs) to improve governance practices, increase skills and develop greater board diversity.
As part of the Good Governance Project which commenced in 2007, Vicsport completed a variety of specific sports governance research to inform the development of the Good Governance Framework & Toolkit. The resource has since been used as a guide to provide direct support to over 30 SSAs in Victoria. This update of the Toolkit was completed to include additional information and references to the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) Sports Governance Principles 2012 and the Associations Incorporation Reform Act (Victoria) 2012.
Included in this resource is a range of information, resources and templates across the following five areas of governance:
- Board Structure and Purpose,
- Election and Appointment,
- Board Induction,
- Board Performance, Behaviour and Culture; and
- Performance Evaluation and Board Development.
The resource can be easily accessed online via the Vicsport website.
