Doing Sport Differently Club Forum

In order to assist Victorian sporting clubs to attract more diverse audiences and create welcoming environments, we must look to Do Sport Differently!

In partnership with VicHealth and the Centre for Sport and Social Impact at La Trobe University, Vicsport is coordinating this Club Forum about Doing Sport Differently – six key principles that guide the design and delivery of sport-based programs that target less-active people through social and flexible sport.

In attending the Doing Sport Differently Club Forum, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn tactics and ways to create change in clubs to attract more diverse audiences and create welcoming environments.
  • Discover how to bring clubs along that journey.
  • Work with industry peers on creating club engagement strategies including the development of writing fair access policies.
  • Discuss what clubs need and how to understand their needs.
  • Put your learnings into action by creating, and hopefully implementing, new program policies and cultural change.
